APY = annual percentage yield. Institution names are not published on this site; after you inquire, we share the details with you directly. The display date is today’s date in U.S. Eastern Time; it is not the date a rate was verified. We review listings regularly (last review: Oct 29, 2026) and keep a dated source record for every listing. Rates change often and may differ by region or deposit amount; confirm the current APY, minimum and early withdrawal terms with the institution before opening an account. "Up to" means the highest yield a brokerage displayed for that term. Rate methodology · How we make money · Important disclosures

Interest estimates assume the APY holds for the full term and interest stays in the CD. Brokered CDs usually pay simple interest, so actual earnings may differ slightly.

FAQs

Are credit union CDs as safe as bank CDs?
Yes, when the credit union is federally insured. NCUA share insurance offers the same $250,000 standard coverage as FDIC deposit insurance.
Why do credit unions call CDs “share certificates”?
Credit unions are member-owned, so deposits are technically “shares” and interest is paid as “dividends.” A share certificate works the same way as a CD.
How do I join a credit union to get its CD rate?
Each credit union sets eligibility — usually based on where you live or work, an employer or association, or a family member who’s already a member. Some let anyone join through a small donation to a partner organization. Check eligibility before you count on a credit union rate.
