Editorial policy
The standards behind our guides and rate listings.
Our purpose
We publish educational content and dated rate listings to help U.S. savers understand and compare certificates of deposit. Everything on the site is general information, not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
Accuracy standards
- Rate listings come from published sources that we record for every listing, with a dated source record and regular reviews. Listings show a display date (today’s date, U.S. Eastern Time), which is not a verification date. Institution names and specific sources are not published on the site; they are shared directly with consumers who inquire. Consumers should confirm rates directly with the institution.
- Guides are reviewed before publication against primary sources and updated when the underlying facts change.
- We don’t publish rates, ratings, testimonials, or claims we can’t support. We don’t publish customer reviews we haven’t verified.
Independence and compensation
We may be paid by providers, and that can affect which providers appear and where — we disclose this on our how we make money page. Providers do not review or approve our educational content before publication, and compensation never changes a reported rate.
Corrections
We fix errors promptly and update the affected page. To report a possible error, email support@comparecdrate.com with the page address and the specific issue.
