How we make money
Free for you. Here’s exactly how the site is paid for.
Free for consumers
Using CompareCDRate.com costs you nothing. You never pay us to compare rates, use our tools, or submit a request.
Who may pay us
We may be paid by banks, credit unions, brokerages, or their marketing partners — for example, when you choose to be connected with a participating provider, when you click to a provider’s site, or when you open an account after an introduction from us. We may also earn revenue from advertising.
What compensation can influence
- Which providers we feature or highlight
- The placement and prominence of providers in some parts of the site
- Which providers may contact you if you opt in
Our tables are not a survey of the entire market, and some providers may not appear.
What compensation does not change
- The rates, terms, and dates we report — they come from the published sources we record for each listing
- Our default sort order in rate tables, which is by APY
- Our educational content; providers don’t write, review or approve it
Your cost is unchanged
Any compensation is paid by providers, not by you, and it doesn’t change the rate or terms an institution offers you. See also our advertising disclosure, rate methodology and editorial policy.
